LAW OF EVIDENCE
PAPER I

नोट : किन्हीं पाँच प्रश्नों के उत्तर दीजिये। सभी प्रश्नों के अंक समान हैं। दृष्टि बाधित परीक्षार्थियों के लिये 60 मिनिट अतिरिक्त समय की अनुमति है।

Answer any five questions. All questions carry equal marks. The blind candidates will be given 60 minutes extra time.

1. साक्ष्य का अर्थ एवं उसके प्रकारों का वर्णन कीजिए। भारतीय साक्ष्य अधिनियग, 1872 के अनुप्रयोग को स्पष्ट कीजिए । 

State the meaning and kinds of evidence. Explain the application of the Indian Evidence Act, 1872.

2. दस्तावेजों के प्राथमिक एवं गौण साक्ष्य में अन्तर बताइये। किन परिस्थितियों में दस्तावेजों के गौण साक्ष्य दिये जा सकते हैं?

 Distinguish between Primary and Secondary Evidences of Documents. Under what circumstances can secondary evidence of documents be given ?

3. सिविल एवं दाण्डिक मामलों में सबूत के भार के-सिद्धान्तों का वर्णन कीजिए। 

 Describe the general principles of Burden of Proof in Civil and Criminal Cases.

4. मुख्य परीक्षा, प्रति परीक्षा व पुनः परीक्षा किसे कहते हैं? इन परीक्षाओं के विषय में विभिन्न नियम क्या हैं ? 

What is Examination in Chief, Cross Examination and Re-examination? What are the various rules regarding them?

5."श्रुति साध्य कोई साक्ष्य नहीं है।” इस सिद्धान्त को अपवाद सहित समझाइये । 

"Hearsay Evidence is no evidence." Explain with exceptions.

6.किसी दस्तावेज में "प्रत्यक्ष संदिग्धता" तथा "अप्रत्यक्ष संदिग्धता" से आप क्या समझते हैं ? 

What do you mean by "Patent Ambiguity" and "Latent Ambiguity" in a Document?

7. साक्षी की स्मृति ताजा करने संबंधी प्रावधान समझाइये ।

 Explain the provisions relating to Refreshing the Memory of Witness.

How may the Credit of a Witness be impeached?

10. विशेषाधिकृत संसूचना क्या है? उदाहरण सहित समझाइये ।

 What is Privileged Communication? Discuss with examples.
